FN Makes Donation to Boy Scouts of America’s Marksman Program
(McLean, VA – May 26, 2015) FN America is proud to announce a donation of fifteen FNS™ striker-fired pistols to the Marksman program, an in-depth program dedicated to marksmanship fundamentals, safety and skill development, hosted at the Summit Bechtel Reserve, a national Scouting center in Glen Jean, West Virginia focused on changing young people’s lives through training, education, leadership and high adventure.
“FN is very excited to contribute these pistols to the Boy Scouts of America’s Marksman program,” said Mark Cherpes, President and CEO of FN America, LLC. “We are committed to supporting the next generation of firearms owners as they learn to become safe, responsible marksmen.”
Scouts and Venturers attending The Marksman program this summer will have the opportunity to learn the basics of pistol shooting with the striker-fired FNS™-9 Standard and the brand-new FNS™-9 Compact, both chambered in 9mm.
“The Marksman program stands as one of the largest youth shooting programs in the United States,” said Ryan King, Shooting Sports Program Manager for the Boy Scouts of America Marksman program. “This generous gift shows FN’s commitment to our nation’s youth, the Scouting movement, and the Summit Bechtel Reserve.”
